But Salma Hayek, 49, certainly wasn't looking groggy as she continued filming upcoming comedy Drunk Parents in Brooklyn on Wednesday.
The actress had her hands full with hot drinks, no doubt to perk up spirits on the cold, wintry set, which saw funnyman Will Ferrell drop by for a cameo appearance.
Salma kept wrapped up in a warm black ensemble which included fur-lined boots and a knee-length padded jacket.
She looked to be carrying the script, perhaps for some last minute line reading before going in front of the cameras.
Later on, she underwent a subtle costume change, switching coats and putting on a pair of shades. The new look appeared to please the star as she produce a pearly smile.
Meanwhile, Ferrell's character was hard to pin down, with his ensemble evoking some kind of industrial worker.
The actor maintained a straight-face during his appearance on the set, but his role will no doubt deliver the belly laughs he is known for.
Will sported a pair of denim dungarees, over a green plaid shirt and red neck tie. He covered the items with a heavy-duty beige coat and teamed it with a pair of work boots.
Adding to his beaten up look were a pair of fingerless gloves and a worn-out grey hat.
American stand-up comedian Colin Quinn also made an appearance for filming, giving the cameras a subtle smile as walked across the set.
However, there was no sign of Hayek's lead co-star Alec Baldwin, 57.
The Oscar-nominated actors play a couple who get intoxicated the day after taking their daughter to college, which leads to a bad decision, a kidnapping and a case of mistaken identity.
When the casting was first announced back in September, producer Robert Ogden Barnum told the Hollywood Reporter: 'Alec and Salma are both incredibly charismatic, hilarious talents... paired together with this brilliant writing, audiences are going to love watching these two beautiful people take on all odds in Drunk Parents,'
And although Baldwin plays an irresponsible parent in the comedy, he was every bit the picture perfect father as he celebrated the christening of his seven-month-old, Rafael last month.
'The christening of our son. What a lovely day,' Alec wrote of an Instagram snap as he alongside his wife, Hilaria, 32, while the couple held their son in his white lace baptismal outfit.
